My Story

I grew up in Whatcom County and went to school in the Meridian district, graduating from Meridian High School. Living here taught me the value of hard work, the strength of our community, and the importance of the industries that keep our local economy going. In high school, I worked in the berry fields, ran a berry picker, and helped farmers during hay season. These experiences gave me a real appreciation for the people who support our agricultural roots and rural communities. My wife and I got married on land that once belonged to my great-grandfather, who raised Black Angus cattle for local families. That sense of family, hard work, and community responsibility is what guides me every day.

After graduating in 2017, I started my logistics career right here in Whatcom County. I worked at Crystal Creek Logistics, then Bellingham Cold Storage, and now manage a team at Lineage Logistics. Through these jobs, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that working families, businesses, and key industries face when it comes to reliable infrastructure. I know what it’s like to do hands-on work and understand how important good planning and responsible leadership are.

I’m running for the Port Commission because I want to bring our community together and make it stronger. The port should help local industry, support education, improve infrastructure, protect the environment, and keep our community safe. My hope is to see a future where working families, local businesses, and the next generation can thrive, while we keep the character and opportunities that make Whatcom County special.
